A series of severe thunderstorm watches have been issued across multiple states in the Midwest. On June 21, a watch was issued for the entire state until 8 pm. Subsequently, on June 23, parts of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Missouri were under a watch until 1 AM CDT. By June 25, watches were extended to include parts of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin until 11 AM CDT. Northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana were specifically under a watch until 11 a.m. on the same day. Central Illinois and Indiana faced threats of damaging winds up to 75 mph and large hail up to 2 inches, with a watch in effect until 7 PM CDT/8 PM EDT. Later that day, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska were under a watch until 12 AM CDT.
