The report also highlights that the typical US driver lost 42 hours to traffic in 2023. Mexico City and London follow New York City in the global ranking of worst traffic congestion. In the United States, Chicago had the second-worst traffic congestion in the country in 2023. Meanwhile, drivers in Greater Seattle experienced the worst deterioration in traffic conditions, losing an average of 12 more hours sitting in traffic compared to the previous year.
