Eloy Jiménez hit his fifth home run of the season, giving the Chicago White Sox an early 1-0 lead in the second inning of the first game of a doubleheader against the Washington Nationals. This home run, which traveled 408 feet, was the first surrendered by Nationals pitcher Trevor Williams in 2024 after 37 2/3 innings. The home run came off a waist-high, 88-mph fastball. A fan with a glove in the second row of left-center field seats made a nice catch of Jiménez's homer. The White Sox, who are last in the majors in home runs, managed to be the first team to homer off Williams this season.
