A Chicago man has been arrested and charged with additional felonies related to mail theft for the third time in five months, following a coordinated effort by Chicago Police Department's Area 5 Detectives, CAPS14, and the Mass Transit Tactical Team and Mass Transit Detectives. The operation, which also involved the CTA Red Line in Downtown (@ChicagoCAPS01 and @Area1Detectives), led to three individuals in custody, the recovery of a stolen car, and a weapon. The United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) highlighted the collaboration between local law enforcement and federal agencies in a press release.
