Kevin Spacey Revives Frank Underwood for Tim Dillon's 'I'm Your Mother' Netflix Special in Unofficial Promo

Kevin Spacey has reprised his 'House of Cards' character, Frank Underwood, in a promotional video for comedian Tim Dillon's new Netflix comedy special, 'I'm Your Mother.' The video, released online, features Spacey as Underwood engaging in an exchange with Dillon that references podcasting, internet culture, and the idea that what was once blackmail is now simply 'content.' In the promo, Underwood attempts to blackmail Dillon using DoorDash receipts—including a $6,000 ice cream cake—and compromising photos, but Dillon responds that he has already posted them online. The exchange includes references to Underwood's supposed death, with Spacey quipping, 'I'm as dead as John McCain,' then correcting to 'Herman Cain.' Underwood also calls Dillon a 'foul, lonesome, evil little cockroach,' and knocks on the desk in a rhythm reminiscent of the Netflix 'Tudum' sound. This marks Spacey's first appearance in a Netflix-related promo since his departure from 'House of Cards' in 2017, following allegations of sexual misconduct. Spacey was ordered to pay $1 million to the show's producers but was found not liable in a New York lawsuit in 2022 and acquitted of charges in a UK court in 2023. Frank Underwood was killed off before the show's sixth and final season. Tim Dillon stated that Netflix was not initially aware of the promo but has been supportive since its release.
