Bombardier Clinches US$1.7 Billion Business-Jet Order From Unnamed Buyer

Bombardier Inc. has landed a firm order for 50 of its Challenger and Global business jets, along with an accompanying service agreement, the Canadian manufacturer said. The transaction is valued at US$1.7 billion and marks one of the company’s largest wins so far this year.

The buyer, who asked to remain unnamed, secured 70 additional purchase options that, if exercised, would raise the combined value of the aircraft and service contracts to more than US$4 billion. Bombardier plans to begin deliveries in 2027.

The deal offers fresh momentum for the Montreal-based company, which earlier signalled that order activity would strengthen in the second half of 2025. Bombardier still expects to hand over more than 150 business jets this year, up from 146 in 2024, underscoring steady demand for high-end corporate aircraft despite a softer start to the year.
