In a series of law enforcement actions across the U.S., significant drug seizures have been reported in multiple locations. In Toronto, York Regional Police arrested three individuals—Olivia Waterman, Jason Hart, and Zakariya Desai—following a three-month investigation, seizing over 18 kilograms of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl. The operation also led to the confiscation of Canadian currency, a taser, and three firearms.
In Everett, Washington, two Honduran nationals, Kevin Torres Velasquez and Santana Sandoval, were charged federally for possessing at least seven kilos of fentanyl powder with the intent to distribute. The arrests followed a search of an Everett apartment where additional drugs, including 1.7 pounds of crack cocaine, 2,225 bags of fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, were found alongside scales and more than $12,000 in cash. The operation involved the Seattle Police Department (SPD), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). Both individuals were detained at the Federal Detention Center in SeaTac after being identified as distributors in King and Snohomish counties.
In Central Louisiana, authorities reported what may be the largest narcotics seizure in the region's history, though specific details on the types and quantities of drugs were not disclosed. In Whatcom County, Mohamed Abdirisak Mohamed was sentenced to eight years for distributing fentanyl, and another individual was arrested with thousands of fentanyl pills and a firearm, intending to distribute throughout the county.
In North Adams, Massachusetts, two individuals were arrested in connection with a heroin and cocaine trafficking investigation. Additionally, in Redondo Beach, California, a man admitted to selling 1,400 fentanyl-laced pills to a confidential source, resulting in a fatal overdose.
