Trump Signs $4.5 Trillion ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ After B-2 Flyover

President Donald Trump signed the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” into law on 4 July from the White House lawn, moments after a U.S. Air Force B-2 Spirit bomber escorted by F-35A fighter jets roared over the Executive Mansion to open the ceremony. The President and First Lady Melania Trump watched the fly-past and joined in the national anthem before Trump saluted the crews, some of whom had taken part in recent strikes on Iranian targets.

The nearly 900-page measure, approved by House Republicans a day earlier, bundles roughly $4.5 trillion in tax cuts and federal spending reductions while also raising the statutory debt limit. It expands child tax credits, reduces levies on tips, overtime and Social Security benefits, and authorises higher deductions for domestic car-loan interest and state and local taxes. Funding is earmarked for additional border-security measures and defence programs.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, who steered the bill through Congress, hailed the package as “historic savings” for American families. Trump characterized the enactment as a “triumph of democracy” and said the legislation marks the “largest tax cut and largest spending cut in American history.”
