Epic Games submitted Fortnite to Apple for review on May 9, seeking to restore the game to the US App Store after a four-year ban. Epic Games has increased its Epic Rewards cashback program from 5% to 20% for purchases made through Epic's payment system in Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys, with the higher rate permanent for these titles. The increased rate for other games on the Epic Games Store will expire at the end of August. Epic Rewards can be used on the Epic Games Store.

Epic's submission is under review by Apple, which typically reviews 90% of app submissions within 24 hours. If approved, Fortnite will be released globally on the App Store. Spotify is also returning to the App Store with a new app allowing purchases of audiobooks and additional listening time.
