Circle Adds Native USDC to World Chain and XRP Ledger; Stock Jumps 10% to $117

Circle is extending the reach of its regulated USD Coin, introducing the stablecoin natively to Sam Altman’s World Chain on 11 June and to Ripple’s XRP Ledger the following day. The launches lift USDC’s presence to 21 blockchains, underscoring Circle’s strategy of making the token a standard digital dollar across multiple networks.

The World Chain integration debuts Version 2 of Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol, enabling near-instant, low-cost USDC transfers between World Chain and other supported platforms. Circle said the upgrade replaces previously bridged tokens with natively issued USDC, adding liquidity and regulatory assurance for the network’s reported 27 million users.

Circle’s addition of USDC to the XRP Ledger broadens support for enterprise payments and decentralised-finance applications. Investors welcomed the two-day expansion drive; Circle’s shares climbed about 10 percent on Wednesday to roughly $117.
