Young cancer patients from across the North East and Cumbria gathered in Newcastle to share their experiences at an event aimed at helping them cope with their illness. The event provided a platform for the patients to share their stories and how cancer has impacted their lives, with a focus on raising awareness and support for cancer research. One of the patients, Tommy from Telford, who has been recovering from acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, is leading a national cancer research appeal that has raised over £120,000.
