Upcoming train strikes and rail work are set to cause significant disruptions across various locations in the UK. The RMT union has announced that its members will strike on the 19th and 20th of February, affecting London Overground services and some stations. While all Overground routes are expected to operate, there will be reduced hours of service. In solidarity with the RMT union, Hitachi Rail train maintainers at LNER have commenced eight days of strike action, picketing at Craigentinny, Bounds Green, and Doncaster depots on the East Coast mainline from the 10th to the 24th of February. Concurrently, railway line improvement works between Reading and Gatwick Airport have commenced, leading to a closure that will last until the 18th of February, causing further disruptions for travelers.
