In a series of coordinated raids across the UK, law enforcement agencies have seized illegal vapes and drugs with significant street values. The crackdown on illegal vapes saw more than £500,000 worth of products confiscated, including a notable find in a disused World War Two bunker in Swansea, where vapes worth over £47,000 were discovered, and in York, where vapes worth more than £13,000 were seized. Additionally, in Blackburn, illegal vapes with a street value of £420,000 were seized. The operations also targeted drug trafficking, with raids resulting in the seizure of class A and B drugs, ammunition, counterfeit tobacco products, and thousands of fentanyl pills. Three men were arrested in Lancashire after police found £11k in cash in a vehicle and £15k at an address in Blackpool, alongside drugs. Another operation in north Wales uncovered class A drugs with a street value of £64 million. The actions come ahead of a UK ban on vapes, prompting concerns about the disposal of millions of vapes as retailers reportedly fail to recycle.
