A leading UK cyclist has been forced to withdraw from the Tour of Britain after being struck at high speed by a 4x4 vehicle. Additionally, the Lifeplus-Wahoo women's cycling team faced a significant setback when they discovered that more than £50,000 worth of their bikes had been stolen overnight in Whitchurch. Despite this, the team managed to start stage two of the Tour of Britain with the help of rival teams who came to their rescue. The total value of the stolen bikes is reported to be around £70,000.
