Transport for London (TfL) is actively repairing or replacing cameras in response to vandalism and has made arrests related to such acts, according to TfL board member Andy Lord. The Metropolitan Police made five arrests using Live Facial Recognition technology in Westminster and Croydon for crimes including theft from vulnerable individuals at cashpoints and assault on an emergency worker. Matthew Houston, 43, was charged with criminal damage of a ULEZ camera in Hillingdon, as well as with having an article after an incident on January 29.
