A stolen giant gorilla statue, known as 'Gary the Gorilla', was discovered in a layby in Fife, having been taken from Reynard Garden Centre in Carluke, South Lanarkshire in March 2023. The statue, valued at £3,000 and standing 8ft tall, had been a fixture at the garden centre for over a decade before its theft. Upon recovery, it was found that the statue had been sawn in half. The statue has since been reunited with its owner.
