Channel 4 News received the Network Daily News Programme of the Year award, recognized for "its experienced and respected team of correspondents, and its mission to explain as well as report," according to the jurors. The Current Affairs – Home award was presented to Hardcash Productions for 'Russell Brand: In Plain Sight,' which aired on Channel 4, with the jury noting, "It was a brilliantly told story which had real impact." Secunder Kermani was honored as the Network Television Journalist of the Year for his work characterized by "empathy while retaining balance in the most challenging of circumstances." Susanna Reid was named Network Presenter of the Year, celebrated for being "equally at home in the studio or reporting from war zones." Daniel Hewitt of ITV News received the Specialist Journalist of the Year award. Beth Rigby was awarded Political Journalist of the Year, described as "the stand-out winner" among stiff competition. The final award of the night went to Kirsty Wark for her Outstanding Contribution to broadcast journalism, with the jury highlighting, "On screen she is unflappable, asks penetrating and tough questions when necessary and acts with empathy and compassion when needed."
