Reform UK has not picked up many council seats despite receiving votes. The Today programme is criticized for focusing on Lee Anderson instead of a Green Party representative who has doubled their council seats. Reform UK performed well in the local elections where they stood, but the Green Party, with 159 seats, received less media coverage despite their success.
The Green Party, who have so far won 159 seats in these elections, have had less media coverage than Reform UK, who have won 2.
BBC's 'Some of the key moments from today' mentions ReformUK quite prominently despite only winning 2 seats. No mention of Workers Party who got double that and the Green Party was just a footnote despite their best year ever! https://t.co/qvp9Nu2azH via @BBCNews
The amount of coverage given to the Green Party, who have so far won 159 seats in these elections, compared to Reform UK, who have won two, has been quite something
Reform have done pretty well today. I thought they would really struggle in the locals. True, they have not stood all that many candidates. But where they did stand they performed strongly. Nobody is saying they have lost ground/are over. A promising run-in to the GE now beckons.
Has Reform picked up any seats? They've got votes but as far as I can tell they haven't got a bunch of council seats...but the Today programme is still interviewing silly billy Lee Anderson. Get a Green rep on, @BBCr4today, they've more than doubled their council seats already.
