A collaborative operation between Metropolitan Police officers and the UK Border Force, under the UK Home Office, has successfully intercepted a sophisticated drug-smuggling operation involving two shipments. The gang attempted to smuggle cocaine with a street value of £10 million by concealing it within the lining of banana boxes. The narcotics were shipped from the Dominican Republic to Portsmouth, where three men have been taken into custody in connection with the seizure.
