An inquest into the death of Swansea footballer Mitchell Joseph, who collapsed on the pitch and later died in hospital, has concluded he died of natural causes after suffering a cardiac arrest. The inquest heard that paramedics attempted to save Joseph, who was described as 'unresponsive and lifeless' at the scene. Despite a hospital mix-up which led to Joseph missing an appointment, the coroner found 'no human culpability' in his death, and the footballer's heart surgery care was deemed 'good'. The health board has since made system improvements following the incident.
