The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) in London has been reported to have averted more toxic air pollution than is produced by the city's airports. A report estimated that Ulez policies achieved improvements in air quality comparable to cleaning up the emissions produced by the capital’s aviation industry. Transport for London (TfL) is seeking public input to encourage walking and cycling to improve air quality. Environmental groups also highlighted the Ulez's impact on reducing air pollution.
