Former Rochdale footballer Joe Thompson, 35, has announced his cancer diagnosis for the third time. Thompson, who previously played as a midfielder and is also known for his time as a Manchester United trainee, has been diagnosed with 'aggressive' stage four lymphoma, which has now spread to his lungs.
