Robin Harper, the UK's first ever Green parliamentarian and former leader of the Scottish Greens, has joined Scottish Labour ahead of the general election. Harper has endorsed Labour’s plan for GB Energy and will be voting for Ian Murray in Edinburgh South. He believes that Labour, under Sir Keir Starmer, is the only party with a plan to halt environmental destruction. Anas Sarwar, leader of Scottish Labour, expressed his delight in welcoming Harper to the party.
