The Evening Standard has launched the 'Show Respect' campaign to tackle violence against girls by funding workshops about healthy relationships in schools across London. The campaign, which is deploying £500,000 from the Evening Standard Dispossessed Fund, aims to prevent sexist abuse and promote respect among students. The initiative includes workshops that address issues such as dehumanisation, objectification, and violence in sex, which are often seen as the norm by pupils. Soma Sara, founder of the Everyone's Invited movement, highlighted the pervasive nature of these issues, citing a disturbing incident where a pupil responded with a sexist remark when asked about women's roles. A workshop in Greenwich was observed as part of the campaign, which aims to show leadership where the government has failed.
