The final parts of the East West Rail track, a significant component of a multi-billion pound project, have been laid between Bicester and Bletchley, marking a crucial milestone in the project's completion. This achievement paves the way for passenger services to commence next year. The completion was celebrated by laying the final clips in the Oxfordshire track, with Rail Minister Huw Merriman and MP Greg Smith participating in the event. In addition to celebrating this milestone, the opportunity was used to address local infrastructure concerns, specifically pushing for the resurfacing of roads damaged by HS2 construction, following East West Rail's (@eastwestrail) agreement to resurface 21 local roads.
