A drug-addicted tree surgeon has been jailed for three months after he was caught on CCTV abseiling down a quarry face to steal peregrine falcon eggs, which are valued at £20,000. The man, who committed the crime to feed his heroin addiction, was sentenced following the incident that involved him descending a cliff and taking the eggs as the distressed parent birds called out.
