In the recent by-elections, the results show Conservative Bill Mcelhinney winning in Desborough ward with 1485 votes, while Labour's Rikki Tod received 1054 votes. The Liberal Democrats held their seat in Looe West, Pelynt, Lansallos and Lanteglos despite a significant drop in vote share.
