Cadbury, the renowned chocolate maker based in Birmingham, is celebrating its 200th anniversary on Monday. The company was founded by John Cadbury in 1824 when he opened a grocer's shop selling drinking chocolate. In the late 1870s, the Cadbury brothers expanded their empire by building a "factory in a garden." To mark this milestone, Cadbury World in Birmingham has recreated the original 1824 Bull Street shop entirely out of chocolate, using 667 bars. Chocolatiers Donna Oluban and Dawn Jenks dedicated five days to crafting this edible homage. The celebration also includes a 30kg edible masterpiece showcasing the interior of Cadbury's first-ever chocolate store. Cadbury's journey from a small grocer's shop to becoming the world's largest chocolate maker is a testament to its enduring legacy and innovation in the chocolate industry.
