A British father, Michael Holt, tragically passed away four weeks into a 3,000-mile row across the Atlantic Ocean. Holt fell ill approximately 700 miles into his journey and was found dead by a fishing vessel crew. His boat has since been towed to Cape Verde, and his family has initiated a fundraising campaign to cover the costs of his repatriation. The fundraising efforts are in response to the unexpected tragedy that occurred during Holt's voyage, which he undertook in memory of his son.
