An Alabama death row inmate has initiated a lawsuit aiming to prevent the state from conducting its second execution using nitrogen gas, three months after a previous execution where a murderer experienced a prolonged 22 minutes of agony before death. The inmate, aged 36, has also expressed a desire to cease fighting against his execution, stating it would allow the victims and their families to achieve justice.
