In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, 13 individuals, including Pakistani nationals, were arrested after raids conducted by a joint team of the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Gujarat and Rajasthan. The operations led to the seizure of mephedrone valued at approximately Rs 230 crore. The raids targeted four different locations and involved coordination between the Indian Coast Guard, NCB, and Gujarat ATS. DGP Gujarat Vikas Sahay noted that the seized consignment was destined for Sri Lanka and not for India, highlighting the effectiveness of the ATS in monitoring even non-domestic drug movements.
