The debate over the origin of Covid-19 continues as evidence supporting a lab leak theory gains ground. Concerns about a potential lab accident at the Wuhan Institute of Virology have been raised, with discussions on the lack of publicly available evidence and the need for further investigations. Documents revealing ties between scientists and bioweapons research, as well as funding from Anthony Fauci, have fueled the lab leak theory. However, some argue that absolute certainty on either a natural or lab origin is unwarranted, emphasizing the need for more evidence and investigations.
The publicly available #OriginOfCovid evidence has been great enough since 2021 that investigations & subpoenas should have been launched. However, imo there isn't enough to say a lab accident happened beyond reasonable doubt, ie being able to take natural origin off the table.
Thread on origins of COVID, arguing that a natural origin is consistent with recently discovered evidence interpreted as a smoking gun for lab origin. Posting here simply to show that the absolute certainty so many claim on either lab origin or natural origin is not warranted. https://t.co/AFwZ1PgEVU
My assessment is that a lab #OriginOfCovid is highly probable. But I do not believe there is enough evidence yet to reach a "reasonable and moral certainty" according to this Massachusetts gov explanation of what is meant by "beyond a reasonable doubt". https://t.co/BIpFmQQAeT https://t.co/ky28KCHDJy
The idea that bioweapons research caused Covid was debunked, people say. But it wasn't. New documents show scientists sought to insert a furin cleavage site right where it exists on SARS-CoV-2, and they'd been funded in the past by Anthony Fauci, who oversaw bioweapons research. https://t.co/dyDollMB6g
It is not just dictatorships that seem to fear the truth - my @theipaper column on how the lab leak theory on Covid's origins is gaining ground despite scandalous efforts to stifle investigations https://t.co/T2Hkb0SATG
Defuse is compelling evidence for a likely lab #OriginOfCovid I believe lab leak should be the default hypothesis. However, there is a gap in the publicly available evidence. We don't know what happened in 2018-2019 at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
