Bruce Lehrmann is facing legal challenges on multiple fronts. On June 12, a tribunal heard that Lehrmann caused $13,250 of extensive damage to a multimillion-dollar property in north-eastern Sydney, which was paid for by the Seven Network in return for an exclusive interview. Additionally, Lehrmann is expected to face Toowoomba Magistrates Court for a committal hearing on June 16 after being charged with raping a woman twice in 2021. The charges stem from an alleged incident in the Queensland town in October 2021, for which he was charged in December 2022. Lehrmann arrived at the Toowoomba court for the committal hearing on June 17.
