Doodles’ DOOD Token Debuts on Solana, Drops 70% as NFT Floor Sinks Below 1 ETH

Ethereum-born NFT project Doodles launched its native token, DOOD, on the Solana network at 9:05 a.m. ET on 9 May 2025. The drop allocated 68 percent of the 10 billion-token supply to existing Doodles holders and related communities through an airdrop. DOOD went live simultaneously on major venues including Binance, OKX, Bybit and Crypto.com, after an early-access sale that let select users subscribe up to US$250 worth of tokens.
DOOD opened on-chain at about US$0.0419, implying a fully diluted valuation near US$95 million, though some market trackers put the figure closer to US$80 million. Heavy selling pressure quickly drove the price to US$0.0123, a slide of more than 70 percent within the first hour of trading and a valuation of roughly US$65 million.
The token’s weak debut rippled into the underlying NFT collection. The floor price of Doodles NFTs, which hovered near 2 ETH ahead of the launch, slipped below 1 ETH for the first time since 2021. Even after factoring in an airdrop worth an estimated US$1,500–1,800 per Doodle, the combined value of a token allocation and one NFT fell to roughly 2.8 ETH (about US$6,200), down sharply from pre-launch levels.
Several holders reported receiving duplicate airdrops, while wallet providers and analysts warned of phishing contracts masquerading as the official token on decentralized screens. Trading platforms and the Doodles team urged users to verify contract addresses as the project works to resolve distribution glitches.
