Productivity growth in the US has outpaced Europe over the years, with the UK catching up to the Eurozone in 2023. Discussions on the reasons behind this trend include exchange rate changes and output per hour worked.
I don't know what you're trying to prove here but I see this chart and I still see the US growing much faster than Europe https://t.co/UOVaOMrfcs
Hmm, according to @paulkrugman the faster growth of GDP/productivity of the US compared to Europe is an illusion due to exchange rate changes. https://t.co/j9iwWz8AkL https://t.co/b0aT0Aek5M
Why has productivity (GDP per hour worked) grown faster in the US than in Europe over the last 15 years. [note: if you think this is because Americans work more than Europeans, you are wrong. Productivity measures output *per hour worked*] https://t.co/p80CKhTNFP
Productivity has risen much faster in the US than Europe over the years https://t.co/1HbAqqCBip
The thing I took away from this graph. Yes Europe is way behind the US in terms of productivity growth. But the UK has also lagged behind the Eurozone since 2012, and in 2023 caught back up and is level again. So another Brexit demon slayed. https://t.co/Pd3EnPu5mr
