Intel has unveiled its new Lunar Lake chips, which promise three times better AI performance compared to previous models. The Lunar Lake platform features new P-Core (Lion Cove) and E-core (Skymont) architectures, as well as the Xe2-LPG graphics. Additionally, the chips boast a significant improvement with a 48 TOPS NPU and deliver 120 TOPS overall. The Lunar Lake AI laptop chips are designed for AI applications and notably do away with traditional memory sticks. Intel's client chip boss, Michelle Johnston Holthaus, presented the new chips, highlighting their potential to escalate the AI wars.
