Google has officially made Gemini 1.5 Pro available to all users without a waitlist, announcing the update is free in the UI. Known for its 1M context capability, this model, referred to as Google's model, is now accessible in Google's AI Studio and is set to expand to API access, encouraging users to 'make those TPUs sweat.' Gemini 1.5 Pro is highlighted for its multi-modal capabilities, including video input, which allows users to add recordings, such as 1 hour of documentary video, to their prompts for enhanced reasoning and to transform contact directories data into JSON. Additionally, Gemini's integration into Google Messages has been reported, providing users with a first look at its features within the messaging platform, with reports revealing more concrete details and an update clarifying features.
